Gurudwara Nanaklama Sahib Ji, Chungthang - North Sikkim

Built in 1969 by Assam Rifles and Tasa Tangey Lepcha (MLA at the time) to commemorate Guru Nanak’s visit during his third Udasi

Tradition holds that Guru Nanak struck his walking stick into the earth here, from which a tree sprouted, and miraculously provided water through an Amrit kund. He is also believed to have subdued local demons and named the area “Chunga sthan” (“beautiful place”)

Serves both local villagers and visitors (including Army personnel). It’s maintained by the Sikh service group Dera Kar Sewa—leaders include Harbans Singh Ji and others
